The $MAIN token was initially launched on the Ethereum network, but due to the exorbitant fees charged on the Ethereum network, a portion of the $MAIN tokens were migrated to the BNB Smart Chain network as wrapped tokens. These tokens are currently used in board coin contracts and swaps for other assets.
The latest minting of $MAIN tokens was in December 2021. Nearly all previously minted 100M tokens are already in public hands, so last week we minted an additional 150M $MAIN tokens for the BNB Smart Chain network.
The total supply of $MAIN tokens on BNB Smart Chain now stands at 250M tokens or 25% of the Max Supply. Please note that the minting of wrapped tokens does not affect the Total Supply of tokens, since a reserve is created on Ethereum for all tokens on the BSC network.
According to CoinMarketCap methodology, the $MAIN Circulating Supply in early May 2023 was ~152M (or 15.2% of the total), with a market cap of $1.2M.
Currently, around 49.3% of $MAIN tokens are still vested and cannot be used yet. More information about the token release schedule can be found here.
